PineCone Research is an exclusive online survey website that compensates its members for participating in product evaluation studies conducted on behalf of a variety of manufacturers and retailers around the world.

Industry Presence

PineCone Research is owned and operated by The Nielsen Company, a leading global market research firm that specializes in collecting and analyzing information on what consumers are watching and buying in order to provide its clients with a comprehensive understanding of overall consumer behavior. To learn more about the 'why' behind certain purchasing decisions, Nielsen relies, in part, on its online consumer panels, which includes PineCone Research and the National Consumer Panel (NCP). While PineCone panelists are paid to evaluate new products in development, NCP panelists are paid to scan and transmit all of the products they purchase on a weekly basis. Through Nielsen, PineCone is BBB-accredited and affiliated with major industry organizations such as CASRO and the AMA. Nielsen is also ranked 1st among global research companies in the AMA's 2013 Honomichl Top 50 Report.

Member Experience

Becoming a member of PineCone's panel is completely free. If you are accepted, PineCone will contact you to complete an additional profiling survey, which will activate your membership and help their team connect you with relevant studies. The profiling survey asks some repetitive demographic questions but also delves a little deeper into your health (including smoking habits), employment and household. In terms of employment, new members will be asked about the industry they work in, the size of their company, the number of hours they work, their role/decision-making authority within the company they work for and the name of their employer. In terms of household, new members will be asked about the age, relationship and employment of the people living with them, whether Spanish is spoken at home, and about their shopping habits. Please note that panelists must be at least 13 years of age to be eligible to participate in PineCone's panel, and membership is limited to one account per household. There isn't a minimum time commitment required to be a PineCone panelist. However, PineCone routinely monitors panelists' participation, and they alert members by email if their membership is at risk of removal because of inactivity.

Earning Opportunities

Members earn rewards for completing product evaluation studies and the occasional household profiling survey. In addition to the profiling survey you take as part of activating membership, members will also receive short household information surveys that help PineCone match individuals with product evaluation studies. These surveys average 2 to 5 minutes to complete and provide an entry into PineCone's bi-weekly sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 in cash They else improve member’s chances of being invited to paid studies. Paid product evaluation studies can sometimes involve testing a new product at home or providing opinions on new product ideas. Since PineCone panelists have the unique experience of being at the forefront of product development, confidentiality is of the utmost importance and panelists are prohibited from discussing their projects with anyone outside of their household. During a typical month, members could receive 1 to 2 product evaluation studies. These studies average 15 – 20 minutes to complete and pay 300 rewards points ($3). They’ll also receive 1 entry into the $500 bi-weekly sweepstakes for each completed study.

Rewards Program

PineCone Research panelists are compensated for their participation in product evaluation studies with rewards points and with entries into a $500 bi-weekly sweepstakes drawing. The points system is pretty straightforward and is set up so that 1,000 points is equivalent to $10. Points will only expire after a 2-year period of inactivity.

Easy to complete surveys, not usually long...and earn $3 per survey...I love that within days I get paid via PayPal (u can choose other options). Trusted and reliable site!...sometimes get products to test too. A great site I highly recommend.

Ive been with Pinecone Research about one year now. I honestly can say it is my favorite survey panel. I say this because I know they are legit. You get paid for $3.00 for every survey you complete. However, unlike most survey panels where you have multiple surveys to qualify for and sometimes you dont qualify at all, Pinecone sends you an email when they have a survey for you, and your guaranteed qualification. Although you only get one to threr surveys a month, it adds up fast because of their higher payout. One more thing that I love about Pincinw is the wide variety of rewards. You can cash out for a virtual visa gift card anytime, no minimum. You can also get your points converted into cash and either directly deposited into your paypal account or sent to you in the form of a check. If none of the above sound appealing then im sure you will find a gift card you want if you browse they're huge selection of gift cards. Pick from Amazon, Papa Johns pizza, Starbucks, and many more. Pinecone Research is the number one survey panel by far.

I love Pinecone, you get paid for every survey without getting halfway thru and being bumped. The site is easy and the surveys are reasonable in length.Pay out is easy.

Pinecone Research is one of my favorite sites to do surveys. I've gotten more products to test from this site than any other. They send you surveys to find out what kind of products you use, and based on those answers, they then send you surveys on specific products. Those are the surveys you get paid $3 each for. They may also send you the product to evaluate, and send you another survey to find out what you thought of the product, which pays another $3. The surveys are never too long. The con of this survey site is you don't get a lot of surveys to do. Overall, I would definitely recommend this site to others who are looking to make a little extra money and test new products.

I love this website, honestly, who pays $3 per survey? These guys do!



I've been a part of so many websites to take surveys that I was skeptical about this website but it's fairly inclusive and it gets you money.



The surveys aren't that fun but otherwise it does what it says and there is a WIDE range of rewards

Pinecone Research offers opportunities to take part in studies or surveys and earn great rewards. You receive period short surveys that identify your compatibility with paying surveys. I really like the fact that when you are sent a survey you will be accepted and allowed to finish it for the reward without fear of a quota being met. I think this helps Pinecone standout from the rest.

I was skeptical about joining another research company due to the many emails I was receiving for companies I had signed up for as well as many surveys I was doing and was not receiving anything for participating. I signed up anyway and I did not get bombarded with emails but when I did participate I was rewarded every time. I was earning points towards getting gift cards to give for Christmas presents and then I would receive products to try and give my honest feedback on them. I've tried some really nice products after using it like I was required to do then went to store to purchase the product for continued use. i totally trust this company and enjoy learning about new products coming out on the market.

Easy to add up the points and redeem with this site. You do have to log in every time and the surveys can be long at times. I like it because of how quickly the points add up and the selection of rewards.

I love Pinecone Research, i've been on this panel for years. It really helps me out with fast paying surveys that you don't have to qualify for. other sites you can get half way through a survey and then they tell you , you don't qualify...not with Pinecone because they also send you household questions to answer to match you with surveys, so it's a win win situation. I hope to be able to stay on this panel for many years yet to come, as far as i've seen this is certainly the best survey site by far and all surveys pay 300 pts (3.00 dollars) Super great survey site you'll want to join it you're not already in it .

I would constantly get emails from pinecone but the surveys would either be closed I would be disqualified before the end. I never made a penny from this site.
